Members of the Belarusian Youth Movement of America take an active part in repairing and remodeling St. Cyril of Turau Cathedral, Brooklyn, NY.
Almost every Saturday the active members of the BYMA help in repairing the building of St. Cyril of Turau Cathedral. Last Saturday (May, 19) they were pouring concrete in the basement of the cathedral, where the Belarusian Museum is planned to be open. As far as you know to pour concrete is not an easy thing to do. Nevertheless, the members of the Belarusian Youth Movement of America together with the other parishioners who took part in the repairs have poured concrete in the basement, there is a little work left, and the rest of the work would take one more weekend.
It’s a pleasure to see our Belarusian sacred place being renovated and growing prettier though it is so far away from our Motherland.
We would like to recall you that the technical group of the BYMA created and support the official website of the ВELARUSAN AUTOCEPHALOUS ORTHODOX CHURCH or BAOC www.belaoc.org . You can find much more information about the cathedral and the current repairs; you can read the latest news and announcements.
