On July 28th 2009 in New York the presentation of Zianon Pazniak’s book “National treasures” (pocket edition) was held. This book consists of articles for youth education. The majority of these articles were exclusively written in 2000 year and they were published in the book “New century” including some new author’s works. This book is of pocket edition, which makes it easy to use in everyday life.
Those present and the speakers appreciated the book at its true value and necessity specially taking into consideration anti-Belarusian political regime and ethnocide in Motherland. Zianon Pazniak spoke about the value of national culture nowadays. It was surprise for the author to get the greetings on his 65th birthday from the friends, the latter recited the author’s poems, sang Belarusian songs. Young lady Pavlinka Padleskaja, a granddaughter of BNF veteran Gennadz Bankevich, was among them. The words for the song “Ave Maria” performed by Igor Luchanka were taken from Zianon’s poem “The sounding of angel’s voice”. The presentation was held in the warm atmosphere. In general Belarusians like everything to be common, sincere and candid. Pomposity and officialism is against their nature. For this reason it’s all among friends, where everybody is himself. Only then –Long life Belarus!
