Freedom is the longing of every soul and the birthright of all mankind. Every year since 1959 when President Eisenhower declared the third week of July to be Captive Nations Week Americans come together to reaffirm the commitment to advance democracy, defend liberty, and protect human rights around the world.
The Captive Nations Committee Inc. will again observe Captive Nations Week beginning July 19, 2009 with prayer in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, a parade up Fifth Avenue, a Central Park Rally, a Freedom Demonstration July 23 at United Nations Headquarters, and Closing Ceremonies July 26 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, all in New York City.
On July 19-26, 2009 join us in parade and prayer for the freedom of ALL from Communism!
