On August 16-17 Belarusan Youth Movement of America organized a trip to the Delaware river and Rodny Kut.
Rodny Kut of Yuliya Andrusishyna, mother of the famous Belarusan singer, Danchyk' reminded every one from all those eleven Belarusans of their own native places. The songs of Danchyk, Syarzhuk-Sokalav Voyush, and Leanid Bartkevich (recorded in mid-90ies) in addition to warm hospitality with which Yuliya was greeting her visitors telling them about Belarusan immigration, her life and the life of her friends and relatives, helped all the participants of the weekend trip to recall their homes in Belarus.
The trip to the Delaware River on August 16-17 and the Belarusan weekend in the state of Ohio which will take place on August 31-31 both are an excellent opportunity for the Belarusans in North America to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the Belarusan Independence Day which is held on August 25.
Therefore, first of all, let’s thank every one who took part in the voyage along the Delaware River! You overcame a long distance!
Secondly, we again invite all the Belarusans of North America to take part in our celebration of the Belarusan Independence Day on August 30-31 at the Belarusan-American public center “Polatsk” in Strongsville, OH.

We look forward to seeing all of you at our meetings!
