Now the repressions of the anti-Belarusan regime against the Belarusans are getting stronger. But at the same time our resistance is getting stronger too. In order to fight effectively, we all, citizens and patriots of Belarus should know two realities – who is our enemy, what he wants and what he is doing, the other reality – why we are fighting, against whom and what we aim in our struggle.
The results of our fight will depend on understanding of this realities. Lukashenka’s regime is a typical authoritarian regime by the character and its system. At the same time this regime is exceptional, Russianizing, not like any other, for it is leading a typical occupying destructive politics against its own people and is by character anti-Belarusan one. This is an internal occupying regime. Its power was installed by the way of internal occupation – seizing the Belarusan power by the special services of Russia using democratic system of elections and their own creatures. The political aim of this regime, which depends on Russia is to liquidate the Belarusian state and do away with the Belarusan nation, to include the Belarusan territory into Russia. The Kremlin does not even hide those aims, it speaks openly. It is based on the politics of imperialism, Russia follow this policy against Belarus already for over two hundred years. The antagonisms and conflicts between Moscow and Lukashenka have internal character within the same sphere of politics (KGB) and relations of some groups inside it. The real sense of the disputes between Lukashenka and Moscow is conditioned not by the Belarusian national interests, but come from the task of preservation of the power and its expansion. The politics of aggression, capture and destruction of Belarus will be carried out by Russian all the time until the structure and politics of the imperial Russia are remaining. The Russian imperial policy is a permanent, reckless and natural enemy of the Belarusan independance. From the analysis of this situation the Belarusans should understand, that we have no other choice, except for general fight with Moscow for our national existence. This cannot be avoided. All other ways, except fighting Russian aggressive politics (and with the anti-Belarusan regime, which is the embodiment of this policy) will bring to non-existence. Whether the nation will fight against the permanent advance of Moscow or it will die. The aim of the Belarusan fighting (in the situation we have now) ask first of all our solidarity and consolidation of the national powers. The consolidation of the people can and should take place on the ground of our common values and national interests. This values in front of the general threat from the East are the Belarusan national idea, the national state, freedom and national independance. Our national interests oblige us to fight for the Belarusan culture, Belarusan language, the Belarusan national property, the territory and State system, the rights and freedoms of the Belarusan citizen and person. The raise of today Belarusan national consolidation should begin from the top-priority act – from raising up the visible signs of the nation, from the symbols, which are appropriate to the content and substance of the affair. Such signs and symbols of the independent national and democratic Belarus are the national White-Red-White Flag and the State Emblem Pahonia (Chase). Let’s remember, that the symbols are the formal conformity of the essence. Everything, that comes with a different symbols, has a different contents. anti-Belarusan, antidemocratic regime of Lukashenka and occupying Moscow policy started with the change of the symbols, from the falsification of this change and from insulting of the national White-Red-White Flag of the republic of Belarus. All the following policy and astions of the imposed by Russian regime of Lukashenka in Belarus conformed to the symbols of these acts – soviet, make by Moscow red-green flag with a twisted ornamental pattern of death and alien provincial “emblem” from the soviet era. At this time in Belarus there are three directions of the public activity. These are (traditionally) humanitarian and creative intelligentsia гуманітарная і творчая інтэлігенцыя (national and cultural work), Belarusan беларуская studying youth (patriotic and protest work) and small undertakers community (economical protest), which are permanently suppressed (because of the political reasons) by the regime, which does not let the Belarusan economical class to develop. It is necessary to emphasize, that the cruel repressions, which are done against these categories of Belarusans are unequal to the essence of the events, are not based on rights and law, and again they have the typical occupation character of treating the people. (The complete and demonstrative disrespect for the people and the rights, person, cynicism, mockery, groundless and cruel beating, treating people like animals, unexampled and shameless profanation of the law suits.) The events testify, that the small undertakers community took a step of the protest in order to protect its rights. The conflicts of this community with the people of the regime show, that this community will start politicizing and become a big social power, or the occupying regime will simply tread it down. If this process of polarization will start, then, possibly this people will use the experience of the National Front in the creation its own guards during the demonstrations, guards team, the tactics to disperse the AMAP (riot squad) and so on. (Meanwhile, the street actions of "the false opposition" had a purpose of profanation of protest movement. They only achieved the complete degradation and issuelessness of the street fighting.) The nation is grouped by the past and consolidated by the future (or more precisely – the idea of the future). In the fight with the Moscow imposed regime the people should to realize what they are fighting for. The vision of the perspective makes the movement systematized and opens the possibility of the victory. Belarus should be free, rich, independent and democratic. The free people will revive their language, culture, economy and Belarusan civilization. Each Belarusan political power which will take power will have a possibility to propose specific methods and ways to reach those aims. But the state, language, White-Red-White Flag and emblem Pahonia (Chase), liberty, independence, Belarusan culture, land, national interests in the world – all this should be common, general and holy for everybody. And only then the conditions for real revival of Belarus will appear, so that our Europe which has been here in our culture and blood, will be again. January 20, 2008 Zianon Pazniak |
