Young men and women belonging to BYMA organization keep Belarusan traditions alive overseas, help fellow Belarusans back at home create internet in native tongue, and spread information and knowledge about Belarus in USA.

On Saturday, December 13, 2007 members of the Belarusan Youth Movement of America helped in repairing St. Cyril of Turau Cathedral, Brooklyn, NY. The basement was cleaned, the walls in the assembly hall were prepared to do Wayne’s coating, and in the Cathedral itself the window decoration was finished. |

It has been a couple of months since Belarusan Youth Movement of America (BYMA) started supporting and spreading Belarusan language on the Internet. Belarusans in America offer free hosting and registered domains. The final goal of the project is to create web-representation of every Belarusan city and town. Today we can analyze the first benefits. |

In the light of the rapid deterioration of the freedom of speech and the human rights in Belarus and the fact that the anti-Belarusian policy of the current Government have almost succeeded in completely eradicating Belarusan-speaking press and has established a monopolistic control over all mass media inside the country, including the checks placed on the use of the Internet, this spring the Belarusan Youth Movement has decided to launch a project directed towards the revival of the Belarusan culture and language on the world wide web. |

On September 10-24 Art Exhibition of Belarusan Painting took place in the C.A.S.E. Museum of Contemporary Russian Art, Jersey City, NY with the help of the Belarusan Youth Movement in America. New Yorkers with great interest acquainted themselves with paintings of famous Belarusan artists Ales Marachkin, Anatol Baranouski, Uladzimir Sulkouski, Rygor Batalenka, Ales Shaternik and his daughter Julia, Genadz Drazdou and others. |

Members of the Belarusan Youth Movement in America took part in 27th convention of Belarusans of North America in New Brunswick, NJ. With the help of the Belarusan Youth Movement in America Belarusan Art Exhibition was organized. Some of the most outstanding Belarusan artists Ales Shaternik, Ales Marachkin, Genadz Drazdou, Rygor Batalenka, and Uladzimir Sulkouski took part in the exhibition. A bust of a world-famous Belarus Vasil Bykau made by an outstanding sculptor and artist Ales Shaternik was displayed for the public for the first time. |

On Sunday, July 9th, 2006 Belarusian Youth Movement of America has held a picket next to the Russian diplomatic mission in New York. The participants protested against the aggressive anti-Belarusan policies of Kremlin towards Belarus and demanded that the Belarusan question was discussed during the G7 meeting. |

Belarusian Youth Movement of America has held a picket on the 25th of March, 2006 in support of the Belarusan people who struggled for independence of their country from the Moscovite yoke. The picket was held next to the diplomatic mission of the Belarusan Republic to the United Nations in New York City. |
